Chalk Lines & Vines 2025 Day 2

Ideas won’t keep: something must be done about them.”

Alfred North Whitehead, philosopher and mathematician, writer of Principia Mathematica and creator of process philosophy. (Very interesting man. With a lot of ideas!)

Have you had ideas in your life that you thought were good, or you wanted to do, or just seemed cool? But for some reason- perhaps lack of resource or confidence, or other responsibilities consuming your time- you didn’t take any action.

Well, I am at a point in my art journey where I have had plenty of ideas. And now I am doing something about them! Especially in the business side. Ever since I began showing my art I have dabbled in putting my images on products. I never actually put too much effort into creating the business, I just created creations.

This year we have been planning and developing an online shop scheduled for a Summer launch. I am excited to jump into it, hope you will jump with me! We will have some pre-launch art products along the way. Every month we will add more. We’ll send a special subscriber notification. ( You may wonder why I keep saying “we” are doing these things. That is because just like it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a team to raise an artist! I will be introducing you to the team in the coming newsletters🙂)

So… May is a busy and exciting month, not only because of the shop stuff, but May 3 and 4 I was an artist at the 5th Chalk Lines and Vines wine festival. I drew two large pieces. On the performance art side, I was a Motion Capture actor for an upcoming animated ResMed commercial. Although you won’t see my face, all the motions of the characters are me!
Check them out here!

And I am getting ready for the Denver Chalk Art Festival on June 7 and 8 (my 11th year to participate!)

And I just finished some proposals for a couple of public art projects (hope I get one!)

Annnnnd our youngest child is about to graduate high school so we have been involved in getting ready to launch him as well!

Anyway, I am glad to have started the summer art season and will post upcoming events. Thanks for supporting me on this art journey.
