“Time flies when you’re having fun.” - ( some attribute this quote to Albert Einstein, but I am not sure about that!)

WOW! The summer has been going by quickly. And I have been having fun😎

I got to create at two wonderful events and also managed to shoot a couple of commercials and be part of an immersive stage thing.

At the end of June I participated in the Salida Chalk Festival. My youngest son was also an artist at the event. We indeed had fun there and enjoyed the people and being in downtown near the river.

Celebrate Nature was the theme

In July, I drew a piece for the 7/20 Memorial Day of Resilience. It was the 13th anniversary of the Aurora theater shooting. Every year the event remembers and honors the victims and families. There is such a wonderful atmosphere of healing and support. Once again we had a fun, but very meaningful, time. My kiddo was an artist at this event also.

On the acting side of my arts, I did a couple of cool commercials. One was for Nationwide with some guy named Peyton. If you watch NFL in the fall, you will see it!

I also had a double role as a spy and a bad guy in an immersive stage experience. It involved aerialists, comedy, and combat. I got this gig because I can do martial arts and look pretty😜 Super fun experience for me and the first time I did stage combat.

Femme Nikita, a.k.a. Black Cat

..The remainder of the summer promises to be just as full. And fun😁. Because I get to keep creating and loving my job!

In August, I have two public art projects. I am pretty stoked to get to do these! I will be creating a large sidewalk mural for North Midway Park in Broomfield and a mural at Art in the Park 2025 in Granby. I am thankful to be awarded these commissions, as I have been applying for more public art projects. In all transparency, you get rejected for more than you get awarded! But I am waiting to find out about a couple more I submitted for. I will let you know!

On September 6, I have one more chalk art event, Walk the Chalk in Littleton. It is a fun event and a cute area. Last year I won 2nd place.

Then September 7 I have been asked to emcee at the iconic Colorado Dragon Boat Festival. This event celebrates many Asian cultures and of course has the dragon boat races! Looking forward to being part of it.
